Simple, but effective.

Body: American Apparel
Skirt: Urban Outfitters
Belt: Primark
Shoes: Office
This outfit is so simple. Literally a long skirt, body and heels. I love it. I really like simple outfits as I think they stand out in a positive way. I find a lot of the time I suffer from 'cba' syndrome and don't like to spend ages getting ready and making too much of an effort, especially if I am going somewhere new and I'm not sure what people will be wearing. This outfit can appear casual but also a little dressy, so it's perfect for somewhere new. I'm loving bodies at the moment as well, I have so many different ones so expect to see some more in my next couple of posts!

and everything was gold.

Crop top: American Apparel
Disco pants: American Apparel
Converse: Via Office

I'm still in love with disco pants! I decided to splurge and buy American Apparel disco pants rather than a cheaper pair this time. I fancied another pair and decided it would be a good purchase with my student loan that had just arrived in the bank. I went for a gold pair this time as I wanted them to stand out more than my blue ones. They're so comfy and super flattering as well. I teamed them up with a white crop top and converse as it was a little chilly outside but still nice and sunny. I felt a little more interesting then usual.

How Vintage.

Denim Jacket: Hardwear via eBay
Dress: Topshop (old.)
Sandals: Jones

One of the best things about being home over Summer is taking full advantage of my friend and getting her to model for me. I truly hate having my photo taken as I'm so unphotogenic. So before I head back to uni, I'm using my friend as my model. Hope you guys don't mind!!
This outfit is rather simple, sandals, dress and a jacket. The jacket and the dress are both vintage, I found the dress in a local charity shop. I've not been in a charity shop for a while because I find I have to be in a certain mood to go searching through the mounds of bad outfits before I find one good thing, but this dress has reminded me of the bargains you can find, so I may have a little hunt soon.

Band Of The Week #3 -Eddi Front.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ekk7tHdsQDQ

Eddi Front armed with only a piano and her voice leads you into a beautiful world of calm. Her echoing and ghostly talent, removes you from an everyday world and solely into her songs. 'Texas' her second, self-released single which came out this month joins her haunting vocals and creaking melody lingering moments before fading into her delicate world.

Look out for Eddi as there are rumours she'll be returning to the UK very soon.

Student Nights.

Body: American Apparel
Belt: Charity Shop
Skirt: River Island
Heels: Topshop

So it was a student night in my local nightclub the other night so I went out with a few friends. It's so nice now I've finished work because now I can see everyone. I love this body, it's backless and and makes a general plain skirt a really interesting outfit. I found I had a lot of compliments on how I was dressed that night I went out. I added the belt just to section the skirt and body off a bit, I wasn't too keen on the outfit without the belt.  It's a very simple skirt and body combo, but due to the colours and pattern of the body it looks a lot more interesting, and it's also equally as nice from behind because of the open back.

Festival Buzz

Hunter Wellies: Via Office

Head Band: Market in Peru
Dress: Topshop

Socks: Primark
Boots: Hunter Via Office

It's time for Bestival Festival, My friend Sophie (pictured) is heading off to Bestival for a weekend full of crazy antics, and decided she wanted to borrow some of my clothes for the weekend. So I decided favour for a favour, I'd take a few photos of her in my outfits for the blog, she added the second headband and the bumbag which she picked up in a market she visited whilst she was travelling in Peru. The outfits are quite light so perfect for a festival especially as its looking like its going to be sunny, but we added a jacket and the fur sole to the second outfit for when it gets slightly colder in the night.

St Tropz

Pre Fake Tan
Post Fake Tan

So I decided to try out a fake tan, I'm very fair skinned and decided as it's summer it would be nice to have a slightly bronzed look. I googled a lot of different reviews for different products and decided to go for the St Tropez spray tan. I took the photos outside so you could see the colour in the natural light. I did it myself and it did turn out really well, it's not too dark or orange so it looks more natural, although it is darker in real life compared to the photo. It came out really well on my stomach its a little dodgy on my arms and legs, but it's mainly in the hard to reach areas, so keeping this in mind I would suggest having someone to spray you, rather than attempting it yourself in order to get a flawless look.

New Dress.

Dress:Topshop
Ring:Topshop
Silver hoop earings: eBay

Today was so hot!! And luckily my new dress arrived from Topshop. Its a plain t-shirt dress, I originally wanted it in grey but I saw this one in the petite section and decided to go for that, as it would fit my body a little better. It's so hard buying dresses and skirts when you're only 5'2" because everything is just far too long. This dress is really comfortable and the perfect length/size. I'm really happy with it, and to top it off, it was only £25. An absolute bargain for Topshop.

I teamed the dress with a pair of sandals because it was so nice today, but when it gets a little colder, I plan on pairing it with tights, boots and a leather jacket, so stay tuned for that little outfit.

Band of the week #2 -Deap Vally.

Deap Valley

Hell raising California girls, Lindsey troy and Julie Edwards, strip music down to its simplest and most fundamental form: beat, melody and meaning.

Think
Alison Mosshart from bands, The Kills and Dead Weather mixed with Seasick Steve. The wailing LA blues licks, riffs and primal howls of Gonna Make My Own Money, designed from years of cruising the LA rock scene, has earned them gigs with The Eagles of Death Metal.

Definitely a duo to look out for.

My Week In Instagram..

I Need These...

Finally added these frilly ankle socks from Topshop to my basket. I've wanted to get some for a while and haven't got around to getting any. I picked up a couple of pairs in different colours, as they're only £3.50. I think they're perfect for chunky boots to keep an outfit  looking slightly more feminine and girly.

Day To Night...

Leotard: New Look
Shorts: Levis's- Charity shop find.
Heels: Topshop
Anklet: Accessorize

So meeting my friends in the day developed from a few drinks in the local wetherspoon's to a night out in our local club. For 99p drinks who can say no? I didn't have a lot of time to get ready so I decided to swap the disco pants for a pair of shorts and exchange the slipper shoes for a pair of my favourite heels. The shorts are a couple of years old, I dug them out of a charity shop for £3.50 - Bargain! I decided as it's summer it was a perfect opportunity to get my legs out, before we know it, it'll be summer and far too cold. I chose my chunky Topshop heels, as I've had them for a few months and only worn them once. I've not been out much at all recently, as I work nights, so decided they had to be worn, I absolutely love them. I bought them with the last bit of my loan only to be told by my friend they'd gone in the sale a week later-definitely one of the biggest problems with shopping in Topshop, but I love them to pieces and think they're worth every penny.

Broken camera

Leotard: New Look
Disco pants: Glamorous
Anklet: Accessorize
 Ring: Topshop
Shoes: New Look
Firstly I'd like to apologise for the lack of quality in my photos, my camera seems to have died so until I'm able to fix it I'm stuck using my iPhone 4, but luckily it's slightly better than my old blackberry.

So, I've been working a lot recently trying to get a few bob for when I return to university. Today is my first day off in a long time and decided to spend some time having a much needed catch up with friends and also getting a head start on sorting a few things out before I head back for my final year in September. I didn't do anything to exciting just a few drinks in the local pub, so my outfit is pretty casual. It was super sunny when I left this morning but I grabbed a cardigan my nan knitted for me, in case it got a little cold-lets face it, you can't always be sure on the weather in this country.

Charity shop splurge

Sorry I've been so absent since Summer, after going back to Uni we didn't have the Internet for a really long time and then I got a bit busy finding a job and sorting out my house etc. But now I'm home for Christmas, and all settled and Uni now. This is my first outfit for seeing my friends for the first time since September, were going for a casual drink down the local pub for a catch up. I found my top in our local  Oxfam years ago and never got around to wearing if before, I love the buttoned back, the top is a 90's style work shirt but teamed with these shorts makes a nice casual look. My friend gave me these shorts over Summer after she bought them as jeans from a charity shop, unfortunately for her she cut them too short, which worked out great for me, because I practically live in them. Both necklaces were Christmas presents from friends the wish bone necklace is from accessorize and the others from Topshop. To top the look off I added this gold casio watch I bought the other day, I got it mainly for work so I can count down the minutes until I get to leave, but now it never leaves my wrist.
